Capabilities

What the Service Covers

All products and fabrication packages follow the client’s approved drawings, technical specifications, applicable standards and project requirements.

01

Structural Steel Fabrication

Columns, beams, trusses, portal frames, bracing, platforms, and pipe racks fabricated from approved shop drawings by suitably qualified fabrication partners, in accordance with project specifications, applicable execution classes, and welding requirements. The scope typically covers material preparation, cutting and drilling from NC data, fitting, welding, assembly, marking and, where specified, trial assembly.

  • Approved shop drawings
  • EN 1090-2 · AWS D1.1
  • NC-driven cutting

02

Grating Systems & Stair Treads

Welded or press-locked bar grating panels made to the layout drawings, with cut-outs, banding and toe plates, serrated surfaces where slip resistance is required, and stair treads with nosing and end plates. Bearing bar size and spacing follow the span and load in the specification, fixing clips are supplied with the panels, and hot-dip galvanising is typically to ISO 1461.

  • Panels to layout
  • Stair treads
  • ISO 1461

03

Cladding & Roofing Systems

Profiled roof and wall sheeting, insulated sandwich panels, flashings, trims, gutters and fixings supplied by the manufacturer as a coordinated system. Profile, sheet thickness, coating, colour and panel thickness follow the specification, with cutting lists matched to the building geometry and the manufacturer’s installation data.

  • Cut to length
  • Flashings & trims
  • EN 14509 panels

04

Secondary & Custom Steel Components

Cold-formed Z and C purlins and girts punched and cut to length with sleeves and cleats; handrails, ladders, walkways, pipe and equipment supports, lintels and canopies; and brackets, embeds, base plates and project-specific assemblies made to drawing, one-off or in batches.

  • Purlins & girts
  • Access steel
  • Made to drawing

05

Surface Treatment Coordination

Blast cleaning to the specified grade, for example Sa 2½ to ISO 8501-1; protective paint systems selected for the corrosivity category and durability required under ISO 12944; hot-dip galvanising to ISO 1461; and fire-protection coatings where specified. Treatments are applied by qualified applicators, with coating records collected where the specification requires them.

  • ISO 8501-1
  • ISO 12944
  • ISO 1461

06

Fabrication Quality & Delivery Coordination

SteelBrio coordinates inspection requirements, hold and witness points, and the collection of quality records in accordance with the agreed ITP. Dimensional checks, visual inspections, and specified NDT are performed by the responsible fabricator or qualified inspection personnel. Fabrication progress, packing, and dispatch are followed up against the agreed project schedule and erection sequence.

  • ITP & hold points
  • NDT where specified
  • Erection-sequence dispatch

Fabricated vs Stock

Made to Your Project, Not Taken From Stock

This service covers products that are manufactured or fabricated for a specific project. Standard mill and stockist materials are covered under Material Sourcing.

Standard Stock Materials · Service 02

  • Mill or stockist products supplied to a product standard
  • Selected by grade, size and quantity from a BOM
  • Documented mainly by mill test certificates
  • Examples: sections, plates, pipes, coils and standard sheet

Fabricated & Custom Products · Service 03

  • Made to the project’s approved drawings or product specification
  • Involve cutting, welding, forming, assembly or coating by a qualified fabricator or manufacturer
  • Controlled by an inspection and test plan, hold points and QC records
  • Examples: fabricated steelwork, grating panels to layout, cladding systems and custom components

Fabrication Coordination

From Approved Drawings to Dispatch

Fabrication is coordinated against an agreed inspection and test plan and the site programme.

01

Package Definition

Approved drawings, specifications, quantities and the inspection and test plan are confirmed.

02

Fabricator Selection

Suitable fabricators or manufacturers are identified and evaluated based on the product type, applicable standards, production capabilities, and project requirements.

03

Production Follow-Up

Material allocation, technical queries and progress are followed against the programme.

04

Inspection & Records

Hold and witness points are coordinated, and QC records are collected for each item.

05

Packing & Dispatch

Marking, packing, loading, and dispatch arrangements are coordinated and followed up against the agreed delivery sequence.

Quality Requirements

  • Welding procedures (WPS/PQR) and welder qualifications from the fabricator
  • Inspection and test plan agreed before production
  • Non-destructive testing by qualified inspectors where specified
  • Dimensional checks against approved drawings
  • Coating inspection records
  • Traceable marking on every assembly

What We Need From You
